The name of this organization shall be the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association, Inc.
The objective of the NJQHA is to maintain the integrity of the American Quarter Horse Breed, by promoting its outstanding characteristics of good mind, sound body and versatility.
We also strive to increase the number of New Jersey breeders and owners of the Quarter Horses registered by the American Quarter Horse association and to advance New Jersey to a position of a leading Quarter Horse state.
All the proceedings of this Association shall be in harmony with the policies and activities of the American Quarter horse Association.
New Jersey Youth Secure AQHYA Executive Committee and Director Seats
While youth from NJ, PA, MD and VA represented Region 5 at the 2022 Youth Excellence Seminar in Amarillo, Texas, two NJQHYA members rose to the top. Congratulations to Adriana Totten (pictured right) who was elected as President to the elite 2022-2023 AQHYA Executive Committee. Her hope is put the "YOU in YOUTH" during her one-year term and final year as a youth competitor. However, the effect of our Region 5 leadership did not stop there. Congratulations also to Adrianna Goolsby (pictured middle) of New Jersey and Sylvia Speelman (pictured left) of Pennsylvania who both gained Region 5 Youth Director positions. Totten Named Second Vice President of AQHYA
Congratulations to Adriana Totten, our Youth Region 5 Director, who was elected as the Second Vice President on the AQHYA Executive Committee. Her one-year term appointment was announced at the 2021 Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar in Amarillo, Texas. Totten posted, "This is an opportunity that is beyond my wildest dreams, and I am so excited to bring my ideas and goals for this year to fruition". Bauer Named Recreational Activities Committee Chair March 2021
Congratulations to Karl Bauer, our AQHA Director for Delaware/New Jersey, who was elected as the new Chairman of the AQHA Recreational Activities Committee.
Bauer's new position was announced at the 2021 AQHA Convention held in San Antonio, Texas. Bauer is excited to continue to support the Horseback Riding Program where recreational riders are recognized for doing what they love, spending time in the saddle.
